We stayed at site 40. Site was pretty level and easy to back into. Most other sites around us looked fairly level as well. I felt there was adequate space between sites. Fellow campers were respectful and it was quiet during night hours. Bathrooms could definitely use some upgrades. Water always standing on floors not sure where it was leaking from. Signs on bathroom doors indicated cleaning was only done “periodically”. We were there 4 days and I think it was done once. It would be nice to have showers in every bath house as well so you don’t have to walk a long distance. Swimming beach was just a grassy area along creek so if you don’t like that kind of swimming you are out of luck. It was nice that Oil Creek and also Cook Forest State Parks both 30 minutes away with great hiking trails.

Tionesta is a great campground. Sites are good sized and people are nice. The swimming is ok in the river across from the campground it would be nice if there was a beach area accessible on the lake portion.

The campground actually located in the ty woods if Tionesta made it feel it was real e be camping. The trails were beautiful. The facilities clean and the amenities were good.

- Changes to campsite reservations must be made by calling Recreation.gov.

Vehicles & parking
- Parking on the grass is not allowed.
- A maximum of two vehicles are allowed per campsite.
Safety & rules
- Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on site.
- Children under 13 must wear a personal flotation device on boats, and all boaters on smaller vessels must wear one too.
Site capacity
- Campsites allow either 1 wheeled camper and 1 tent, or 2 tents.
- Camping longer than 14 days at a water resource project requires written permission.
Accessibility
- Sites 69 and 71 are designated for accessible camping with required passes.

- Do not move firewood; buy it locally and burn it on site.
