Longleaf Campground offers a clean, spacious, and peaceful environment with well-maintained facilities and friendly staff. Wonderful time! The campgrounds were neat. The walk to the visitor’s center was nice and they had real working toilets at that location, which was great! Loved the films and enjoyed the boardwalk with the self guided tour!

The mosquito level was on a 1, which enhanced our experience.

Perfect balance of feeling like you're out in the woods while having easy access to the visitor center (the short trail is a sweet way to get there). The solar charging station was super nice to have. Very cute birds around

This is a quite campground with reasonable privacy. The sites have plenty of room. Expected to walk a few hundred feet to your site. (Higher numbers are farther away from facility and parking lot.)
The campground is quite peaceful with a small pond and meadow. There is plenty of wildlife, so it is essential to keep your coolers secure. The primitive facility is reasonably clean.
The big drawback of this campground is that there is no running water. Be prepared to fill your water containers at the visitor center.

Campsite #1 was easily accessible without a cart. It was quiet, private, & clean. The pit toilets were clean & well-stocked. The solar charger was a welcome surprise, but not all of the sockets worked with our phone charger cords. We were greeted in the morning with birds singing and quail running through. Could hear coyotes in the night. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Spacious, clean, not crowded. About 100 yards from parking lot. Walk trail between two campsites to access my site (4). No raised pad for tent at this site. Room for several tents. Got firewood from Ace Hardware (about 15 minute away). Open area between small sites and group sites for frisbee, etc. Can access Long Leaf Trail from back of camp site. Pit toilets at parking lot where ok in April. Plenty to see and learn about flood plain forest on the trails. Small, but nice visitor center, with good clean bathrooms and water for drinking.

Great walk-in campground! Be aware that there is no electricity or running water at the campground. It's about a half mile drive to the visitor center for water. Pit toilets are at the campground. It's about a 50-yard walk to the close campsites from the parking lot. It was a great way to experience Congaree!
