Great walk-in campground! Be aware that there is no electricity or running water at the campground. It's about a half mile drive to the visitor center for water. Pit toilets are at the campground. It's about a 50-yard walk to the close campsites from the parking lot. It was a great way to experience Congaree!

We had a nice visit to Congaree. The park is not big, but it has about a day's worth of trails. Got to see an alligator (not at the campsite... up at one of the lakes). The campground is walk-in only, but the walk is short. Fine campsites.

Good location tucked away from others, although you still had to walk through other campgrounds to really get to it.

If you have carry a lot of camping equipment you may want to bring a wagon to carry your supplies. Also bring at least one gallon container for water to use at your site.
