This was a great campground. The Intracoastal Waterway provided some nice viewing of boats and the marsh across the waterway. Enjoyed the Palmetto trail near the campground. Sites were well spaced and level. Bathrooms are unheated, so you need to take a shower in the hot part of the day if you stay here during the winter. The campground is 18 miles from the nearest supermarket or drug store.

The campsites were spacious and level with a view of the intercoastal waterway. There were some lovely old large trees next to my site which would have added welcome shade in the heat of summer. There was nice hiking/walking trails. This is a hidden gem. I definitely plan on returning.

Beautiful sunsets! Friendly people and good live music and food right up the road at The Bent Rod in McClellanville.

This is a small campground with basic amenities. The area is flat and the campsites are decently spaced. There are a few sites with some tree cover. The bathrooms were clean. You are very near a creek and marsh which is nice. It was very quiet and you could see a lot of stars at night.

Great place. The camp host was nice and welcoming even as we came in during a storm.

We’ve been trying to book this for years after a visit a long time ago. We only stayed one night- but love the tranquility. Saw a dolphin!

Great location close to Charleston (40min). Campground itself is great. Spacious site (#6). Good quality services (Water and electricity). The only down size are the comfort stations which are not heated. We were ther a few days before Christmas and it was cold to take a shower. Beside this detail, no problem whatsoever.

Hosts were wonderful. There was a storm warning approaching and they may sure that you were aware of potentially how bad it could get.

About as expected. A laundry would be nice but it is a small park and probably not necessary. Park manager, Diane is professional and very nice. Beautiful access to the ICW.
