We enjoyed our stay at Buck Hall with one exception. Our site was very near a water faucet and planned to use our hoses to connect to it long enough to fill our tanks since there are no individual site water faucets. However, after we unhooked, leveled and set up, we discovered that the faucet was broken. It appeared to have been hit and the pvc pipe was broken apart. Give me some glue and a fitting and this would have been resolved in about 10 minutes but it remained in the same state throughout the 6 days of our stay. We were away during the day most days so didn't go to the extent of hooking back up to pull to another faucet and just made do by using water jugs. We left with a sink of dirty dishes and used a lot of paper plates and plastic forks.
This is a very convenient park, spacious sites, and wonderful hosts. The showers require pushing a button over and over to keep the water flowing but it was great pressure and plenty of hot water. We will definitely come back when we are in this area again next year. I will call ahead to be certain that the faucet near our site is working however!

Love the small campground with the large sites. Need additional showers in the bathhouse.

The weather did not cooperate to do a lot of fishing but the stay was beautiful. The hosts had the place beautiful and would stop by when we were out and see if we needed anything. The showers are very dated but Alan and Shirley kept then very clean, Shirley even steam cleaned them while we were there. Can’t wait to go back.

We love Buck Hall. It has a quiet atmosphere. Great location to just chill or to visit Charleston. I enjoy just sitting by the water fishing and watching the beautiful boats go by.
I wouldn’t suggest it for small kids however. There is little to entertain them.
On this visit our Host was the best couple and the park showed it. Clean and neat. No litter and the bathhouse was cleaner than I’ve ever seen it.

We stayed 3 nights in site 6 and it was great. Although it is an older campground, the sites were well maintained and big. A short walk to Intercoastal Waterway. We canoed the Awendaw Creek nearby. A short drive into Charleston and tiny McClellanville was a step back in time. We hope to have many more trips to Buck Hall.
