Overall, good experience. Great views, good place to do campfire near picnic table, parking near site convenient to unload, friendly ranger greeted us upon arrival, beautiful nature, close to Georgetown for interesting side trip, etc. On the not as great side, I wish the tent spaces were a little further from each other. Being woken up by a car alarm at 2am and hearing the person next to us coughing, not the best. Also a little weird one person showing up at dark near us to camp in unreserved spot and another guy sleeping in van near our spot.

We come to Buck hall often. The camping spots are huge. The kids just run around all day playing ball or anything else we bring. We don’t have a boat but if you do this is the spot to be. There is no playground so bring any toys or games you may need to occupy little ones. The no playground thing has never been an issue for us though. The water is gorgeous and we love to just go sit and look it and watch the boats go by. If you go in the warmer months you may see a dolphin or two!
