A friend and I stayed at Cherry Hills Campground for two nights to participate in a Foothills Trail Conservancy guided hike. The facilities were nearly perfect, and particularly a Gold Star should be awarded to the campground host who was extremely helpful, generous, and kind.
If there is any improvement I could suggest, it would be to make the campsites more hammock-friendly. Finding properly spaced trees was a little challenging, but all worked out well. Placing sturdy poles about 15 to 18 feet apart would be a relatively low-cost way of accomodating the growing number of hammock campers.
I'm grateful to have places like Cherry Hills Campground available.

This is a great campground! Very clean bathhouse. And the camp host, Lester, does a wonderful job. You are just a few miles from the Chattooga River, half a dozen waterfalls and Oconee State Park. This is a great place to spend a weekend outside!
