Coneross is one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed in.
I like the privacy you have with the camp sites.
The sites are large enough to enjoy being outside enjoying nature.
The staff are very friendly.
I would definitely recommend this campground to anyone. We will be going back very soon.

We had a vey lovely time at this campground and camp here often. We were expecting to be close to a shower and restroom which was shown on the map but it was not there. It looks like it was started but never completed. This is very important to us and needs to be reflected on your maps and websites. As usual the campsites were well kept and spacious. We have already booked for another time this year.

This park is a little jewel on the shore of Lake Hartwell. Last fall while we were staying in a nearby USACE campground, we did some reconnaissance, checking out Coneross Park, marking up a map with our selections. So we were excited this year to act on that information and choose a site from one of the many, many great selections in the park. We stayed in site #55 so the grandkids could be close to the kids' amenities and our stay was great. The bathhouse, kids' playground, and swimbeach were all within easy walking distance, almost within sight of our tent. The bathhouse and public areas were kept clean and beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nearly all of the campsites were occupied but because of the layout on this little peninsula, we rarely heard anything from other campers. It was sweltering while we were here in mid-June ("feels like 108") with a very high UV index, but we swam in the mornings and evenings and managed to stay cool most of the time. We tent-camp and the north side of the site was in the sun from about noon to 4-5pm. We couldn't move the tent because the fire pit was on the south side of the site. So, because of this, when we return, we will llikely choose another nearby site, but for RV's with a little protection, this site is a very good one -- one thing that's particularly nice about #55 is that there are steps leading down to the water, making it easy to fish or put a canoe or kayak in from the site. It's also a pull through, with generous space for a small to medium RV. Larger RVs might have to back in or do a little bit of back and forth to get into the spot. Five well-deserved stars from this reviewer!

Beautiful lake and campground. They won't allow you to drive through to pick an open site. It can only be done online, which makes it difficult to choose the best site to suit your likes.
