Our site on the lake was perfect with a lot of shade and near the bathhouse. About the bathhouse—the ladies shower had such water pressure I could not stand in front of it. It stung painfully and shot water out past the curtain. I then used the handicap one instead. Otherwise our stay was enjoyable.

I have been camping at Coneross for over 20 years. It’s always a pleasant experience. The gate attendants are always pleasant. The bathrooms need attention. It has been over 20 years since there have been any renovations on any bathroom. They always look dirty, even after the cleaning crew has cleaned. The lighting in all but the one near campsite 60 is terrible. I know these are just for convenience but it’s time to clean them up.

Such a peaceful place to camp! My very first time camping on my own without my parents and this campground made it too easy! Awesome camp ground!

The campground was very nice. Our campsite was a backin site and our bay window looked right at the lake. We stayed there for about 5 days towards the end of our trip. The only probelm I had was upon arriving for check-in I was told that since I did not have my Interagency Pass which allowed me to get it at a discount that I would have to pay the full price. I used it to make the reservation and thought that since I had made the reservation that I would no longer need it and tucked it away at home. But no, I ended up having to pay the full price. I have used it at National Forest campgrounds and have had no issue. So, just be warned that it you intend to stay at Army Corps of Engineer Campgrounds remember to bring your physical pass with you. That is the main reason I am not giving a five star review. I would love to get the $80 back that I wasn't expecting to pay, but I doubt that will happen.

5 members of my family had our 5 sites all together and it was a wonderful week. Perfect weather and we hope to do it again before the campground closes.

Sites were clean and spacious. Only negative is that restrooms are dated, but clean.

We spent the night there at the beginning of our vacation on the way to Nova Scotia. We've always liked the USACoE campgrounds and have spent time at a couple of different ones at Hartwell Lake over the years. The fact that we receive the Federal discount with my senior pass is a bonus!

Park itself is really nice. Lots of boats on the lake and many people are not considerate of swimmers near the shore. Very good lake access from our site. Rules about keeping dogs on leashes not enforced at all. Many dogs came in our site from nearby campers.
