Nice wooded site deep in the forest. The road in is in bad shape, but it is not a problem for a Class A if you go slow.

Woods Ferry Campground offers a pleasant and spacious camping experience with well-maintained sites, clean bathrooms, and beautiful natural surroundings. Many visitors appreciate the privacy between sites, access to hiking trails, and opportunities for fishing and wildlife viewing. While some have noted issues like noise from generators and occasional maintenance concerns, the overall sentiment is positive, with many eager to return.

I’ve been 4-5 times over the years. It is the perfect place for camp/hunting in the National Forest. Still my concerns are the same. The campsites need to be blown out after each horse use. Seems like every visit, the site has horse manure in the camping area, wet straw, and enough leaves that makes it difficult to set up camp. My site, 17 was extremely unleveled and after moving three times, I gave up. A better job of campsite maintenance is desperately needed. Got in a great Mt. Bike ride on the gravel roads and trails.

When we pulled into the campground, after a very long drive in, we filled with water. When we got to our campsite, the firepit was filled with liter. There were some freshly cut trees, so we figured the workers had left their water bottles etc. We cleaned out the trash. It was so hot and something was wrong with our generator, as it couldn't keep up to keep the camper cool. We stayed the night, cancelled the rest of our reservation (3 more days) We moved on, only to find our ankles bit up by no see ums! Ouch!
