Very quite, very pretty environment. Clean out houses. Campsite are easy for RV’S to maneuver.
The reservation price is a bit high seeing that you only get an outhouse, community water spigots, a fire pit, and a lantern pole. No sewer, no shower, and no electricity. The trails definitely need to be remarked. The colors are faded, some are missing, and it is very confusing trying to follow direction of the markings. Many fallen trees are difficult for users to cross or redirect.

We absolutely loved our overnight at Woods Ferry Recreation Area! We stayed at site #16, and it was perfect. Although we didn't have horses, we enjoyed seeing others riding. The walk to the river wasn't that far...and the whole experience was wonderful. We will be back many, many times!

Woods Ferry campground has become more populated since it is being heavily promoted. Unfortunately, it comes with trash left in the campsites (toilet paper in the woods, cans in the fire pit, horse manure in the paddocks) and rather noisy generators that run 24/7. There is no camp host to enforce rules.

The experience was wonderful. I have visited the area 100’s of times. I love the camp ground, trails, and especially the hunting. I will return soon.

Some of the campsites are tight for larger trailers. Had a horse jump out of corral . Trails were wonderful and well marked. We had a great time and will be back.

Site 16 was Very Large and very level. Site was secluded and I could not see the other campers. Toilet Vaults were the cleanest I have seen for 50 years. I spoke to two of the rangers and was told the tracks in the mud I found were from a Bobcat. They spoke of a good vista on the Blue trail. My dog and I found the vista to be worth the hike. I plan to come here again later this winter.

Absolutely loved horse camping and riding here. The only problem was stall conditions were TERRIBLE. The stalls had MUD and manure about 6” deep. There is no way to clean such a mess. State should consider maybe mats and let people bring their own shavings.
I will return and I’m 5 hrs away.
