Restmoe Inn near Custer, SD, is a total gem! Nestled near the start of Needles Highway, the most breathtaking route to Mount Rushmore, this cabin rental is a bucket-list must. We stayed in the bear-themed cabin, which was spotlessly clean, cozy, and bursting with charm—many bear pictures, prints, and carvings were such a fun touch! The cabin had everything: a full kitchen with utensils, a full-size fridge, an outdoor grill, an attached carport, and a porch with a geat view. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and while heat and A/C were available, we didn’t need them thanks to perfect weather. Just minutes from Custer State Park and about 20 miles from Mount Rushmore, it’s an ideal base for exploring the Black Hills. We couldn’t have found a cleaner, cuter, or more welcoming spot. Already planning our return! Highly recommend Restmoe Inn for an unforgettable South Dakota adventure!

We enjoyed a lovely stay here in the Bear's Den cabin. Clean and well kept cabins. We loved being able to hike a little right behind the campground! The porch is great for grilling, it does face the busy road, but we actually enjoyed watching the traffic go by more than we thought we would. The location of these cabins is nice, just a little outside town, closer to Custer. Very gracious and kind hosts. Thank you for a great stay!

Rooms were clean, beds were comfy. I wish they had either a dresser/table in the fishing hole instead of a couch..trying to fit 4 people in there would be snug. Owners were great, they didn't bother/hover over you they left an information book in the room with info tourists would need along with their contact info if needed. The location was okay, just on a road where there is traffic, as a light sleeper I heard all the vehicles drive by.
Lots of foot traffic up above us as well.

We stayed two nights during a trip to see all the nearby sites. Great little family-owned inn with clean beds and fun decor. I love that the owners included a hotplate in the kitchen area. We actually ended up cooking several meals in the room and everything we needed, including plates and utensils, were available. Thanks for a great stay!
