A very small lake but a beautiful campground. The site we reserved (42D) was beautiful and very private, but didn't have a good flat spot for our 10 person tent. But the Camp Host let us switch with one of the "first come first serve" sites so that we fit comfortably (Probably site 48D?). On our side of the campground we had great unobstructed views of the open meadow nearby, and saw several deer. On the other side of the camp area, it seemed like a lot of ATV tours came through the campsite following some local dirt roads, so we were glad we weren't camped over there.

I love the area camping was great it's the hosts that ruined it they just wanted to come around and harass you about where you parked and the 4 wheeler was making to much noise over their rattling diesel and a car was hung up behind them as they are quizzing us about things and then had the nerve to say they came camping shouldn't be in a hurry very rude people should be working somewhere that people aren"t out trying to have fun camping in the hills which is something I've done since I was a kid in all very rude and unfriendly people and have heard that from several othher people that had the same experience there . was rideing 4wheeler at under 10 mph and it is not noisy to the beach and back once,

Located on the north side of Roubaix Lake. From Rapid City, South Dakota, take Highway 385 north, then take Forest Road 255 to the campground.
Elevation: 1706 feet

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Site types & loops
- Generators are allowed from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. at non-electric campsites.
Fees & deposits
- A fee of $2 per pet per night is charged at check-in.
- Senior and Access discounts apply only to the site of the card holder; additional fees may apply for other sites reserved on the same card.
