About Roubaix Lake

Roubaix Campground is tucked into a grove of Ponderosa pines along its namesake lake. With a popular swim beach and opportunities for non motorized boating and paddling, campsites are dispersed among four loops, and many offer lake views. At an elevation of 5.5 ft, this camp remains comfortable on hot summer days, and sites are spaced far enough apart to offer ample privacy. This popular camp makes a great base for exploring all the activities and attractions at the lake and in the surrounding area.

Great campground!! Spread out and tons of space, privacy and fresh air. Loved this campground. The lake was small, but tons of fish to catch. There was a little beach area for swimming. Really close to Deadwood (13 mi). Right across the street was a store with Ice, beer, propane, dump and fresh water, also a restaurant for breakfast. Would easily stay here again. We had site 12 reserved and moved to site 10 because it was better, more space, more private and available. Loved 10, the road was not noticeable.

Roubaix Campsite has been our vacation spot for 50 years. It is close to all attractions in the area. The camp host for the last several years, do an amazing job of keeping the area clean. Harry and Ella Quiggle are the best hosts.
It would be wonderful if there was a cell tower nearby. No cell service and no phone available. Once there was a phone in the camp, not certain why it was removed. In case of emergency it is a need.

It was a very nice campground, but we arrived late and during a thunderstorm, so it was dark and wet. The next morning the sun was our and we walked the campground which looked well maintained. Some of the areas were washed out due to the heavy rain though. Two stars out of 5 due to the weather not the campground. :)

Policies & Rules

Cancellation policy

  • Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
  • Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
    • Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
  • Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
  • Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
  • Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

  • Generators are allowed from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. at non-electric campsites.

Fees & deposits

  • A fee of $2 per pet per night is charged at check-in.
  • Senior and Access discounts apply only to the site of the card holder; additional fees may apply for other sites reserved on the same card.
