Host was very helpful and even stopped by our campsite to make sure we got settled okay. The bathroom, although pit toilet and only one - that was shared by a very full loop, was exceptionally clean and fresh smelling. Site 15 is totally a sloped mess (but with a lovely view). We're a 23' trailer, but I don't think a tent or even class B could find a level spot. Otherwise though, the lake was a lovely walk and lots of roads/trails to explore. With all of the campers in this park (fills up every weekend), you would think the park could afford a dump station and water fill. None are at this park. The recommended dump station at RV park nearby wanted $20 for dump and $20 for water fill. That seemed over-the-top.

Beautiful campsite. Spots are spacious, but not private with tall lovely trees but no undergrowth. Typical in Black Hills. Small lake with pretty and clear water We suggest the short trail around lake and also up the hill on far side of lake Only real disappointment was cleanliness of outhouse. It was obviously not cleaned the day we arrived. The next morning we saw the young man who came to clean. He emptied the small trash can and sprayed something. He did not sweep the floor and the things that spilled on the floor after he emptied the trashcan were simply left there. Very incomplete job. Then it was appalling to us that he took the large commercial roll of toilet paper, still in its original packaging and dumped it in the outside garbage. Perhaps he didn’t need it, but……. What a waste and environmental mistake!

We just stayed for one night. The park was beautiful. The lake was gorgeous. Lots of nice walking trails. The site was large and clean.

Located on the north side of Roubaix Lake. From Rapid City, South Dakota, take Highway 385 north, then take Forest Road 255 to the campground.
Elevation: 1706 feet

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Generators are allowed from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. at non-electric campsites.
Fees & deposits
- A fee of $2 per pet per night is charged at check-in.
- Senior and Access discounts apply only to the site of the card holder; additional fees may apply for other sites reserved on the same card.
