Roubaix Lake is a beautiful and peaceful campground, known for its spacious sites, clean facilities, and friendly hosts. Visitors appreciate the serene environment, proximity to nature trails, and the lovely lake. While some concerns about restroom cleanliness and site accessibility were noted, the overall experience remains positive, with many returning for multiple visits.

Conveniently located between Deadwood and Hill City, with a paved entrance road, this National Forest campground provides a quiet retreat from the busy activities of the Black Hills. Custer Peak is just a short drive away and there are plenty of opportunities for hiking and mountain biking on forest roads that are also great for ATV's. There is also a great beach at this campground that was popular on a warm fall day. Beware that Roubaix Lake Road is closed just west of the campground so do not follow Google Maps directions if coming from the west side of the Black Hills.

This was just a stop among the way for me, unfortunately I didn't get to experience the lake as I got in late and left early.
The stars looked amazing but so much tree canopy I couldn't get that much

Great campground! We were in site 19 and everything was great . Campground was clean , toilet was clean and the host was pleasant . We used a tent and the site wasn’t totally level but doable . Would recommend this campground .

Pretty basic site near the tiny creek. When we showed up there were domesticated cows right in our campsite. Good shade.

It’s an awesome campground. Very quiet we were there during the Sturgis rally and couldn’t hear any noise.

Located on the north side of Roubaix Lake. From Rapid City, South Dakota, take Highway 385 north, then take Forest Road 255 to the campground.
