Well when we got there the outhouse was almost full to the top. Hadn’t been pumped for ever trash was running over talked to the host and he told me that he had lots of completed and he said he had done several phone calls and no response whomever has the contract for these campground now should be gone!!! We’ve camped there for years this is a mess now they charge every car that comes to visit us that’s ridiculous

Great location, close to Mount Rushmore. No freshwater tank hook up. Potable water spigots near sites. Site was long enough for my 33’ travel trailer. Shaded spot

I had a great time at this campground. It is secluded enough to feel like you've gotten away from things, but still close enough to conveniences for when you need a couple things. The only complaint I'd have, which has nothing to do with the campground itself, is the speed everyone was coming and going. There used to be a time where it was expected that 5mph was your standard campground speed, but there were several times vehicles were flying through and on some of the narrow spots almost resulted in an accident around a blind corner because someone was going 25 taking up the entire road. People need to relax and slow down, otherwise, it was a great place!

We loved this as a great hub point to go visit all the attractions. Quiet.

Campground was quiet and clean. No lake access from the campground though.
Central location for touring The Black Hills.

Me and my family loved the campsite the people were always so respectful and caring they were always smiling as I relaxed after working so hard I only had one complaint that I had to pay to go swimming even though I was camping there

Nice sites and the restriction for boats accessing the cove was beneficial and appreciated by the paddleboarders and light watercraft people in our camps.

We had a beautiful campsite right next to the lake. Sounds fantastic! But the motorboats and personal watercraft in mid-July made it almost uninhabitable in the late evenings (when you just want to sit in your lawn chairs and have a peaceful evening). But early morning it was fantastic. Think twice before selecting a site by the water's edge. Other than that, the campground is great. Well maintained.
