Holy Smoke Resort

Great location small campground. Right off the road. Not far from Mount Rushmore.

Its is a bit far from some things but absolutely beautiful area and the Airbnb is really nice expect you definitely hear everything when sharing the rooms and the bathroom being in between the rooms. Highly recommend if you plan to be traveling around and need a place to sleep, dog friendly.

RV'ed here May 3-5, visiting Mount Rushmore nearby. We were fully contained, however used hookups for water, electrical, and sewer without any issues. Easy in and out. We booked in advance and knew our site number, just came in and parked. Sites are clean and my #14 had excellent starlink reception. We did not interact with staff during our stay.

We originally booked 2 nights but loved it so much we stayed an extra night! The cabin was clean, cozy, and perfect for our little getaway. We especially enjoyed having picnics right on the front porch. Lynette was an absolute gem—so kind and helpful, she truly made our stay even better. The location was also great, just minutes from downtown Keystone, where we spent our evenings enjoying the town. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Holy Smoke Resort in July 2025 for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The cabins were spotless, spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful, making check-in and any questions easy and stress-free. The location is also ideal — central to all the attractions we wanted to visit, like Mount Rushmore, the 1880 Train, and Crazy Horse. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Holy Smoke Resort and would definitely stay here again!
