The RV lots by the creek were OK,I wouldn't consider staying here longer than 1 - 2 nights anyways, the best memory I brought home from this roadside location was the deer family that came by in the morning ,I think they come regularly to munch on the few scraps of food left behind by some visitors..

There is NO view of Mt. Rushmore what so ever! The RV park is merely a mud pit with camp sites barely big enough for a small tent. It is down the hill, behind a shady convenience store. The construction site next to the park was a sight for sore eyes. It's rundown, dirty, old, and very cramped! We wanted to go shopping for just a bit and they wouldn't let us keep our camper parked in our spot after 11am. Mind you, there were no other campers around. Connie, in the office, told me they needed us off the site so they could check them and do routine maintenance. If you stay here, you'll see there is no maintenance being done on these sites, ever! I highly recommend finding a different place to stay! Don't do it unless you're desperate!

5/25/2025-No bathrooms or showers available at this time due to road work tore up the pipes. If this is important (it is to me) when paying high prices for your R.V. site….call them “BEFORE” making reservations. No open wood fire pits allowed. The R.V. sites are clean but no privacy due to hotels and R.V.’s located right next to you. The nice advantage of this park is you’re 2 miles from Mount Rushmore but it was raining all the time we were here so you couldn’t view Mount Rushmore from our R.V. site.

We stayed in the RV park and not the Inn. Some of the sites are very small, but they put us in sites 3 and 4 to make it bigger for our Motorhome. We were backed up to a bubbling creek. Didn’t see any fish but did see two ducks enjoying the bank until I disturbed them. We had several deer come down the other side to the creek. The park is clean and nestled in by the creek and right in the center of town. You walk either direction to cute shops, adventure parks, restaurants, chainsaw art, glass blowing, museums, and coffee shops. Keystone is a cute little town. The managers of the park were nice and helpful. If you are looking for a place to stay for while, this may not be for you, but for a night or two while you visit Mount Rushmore (2 miles away) and Crazy Horse or any other amazing places there, then this is a great stop. I think it may be a little over priced, but cheaper than many other places. They do have a bath house and there is a laundry mat just a short walk away. This month they are opening larger spaces for big rigs.

The sites are super tight! Close to your neighbor and short, with little place to park. Our back slide was actually sticking out over the hill/ creek, but that was kind of cool, and there were deer hanging out right under it! Staff was extremely nice and helpful, and being right next to downtown was amazing. Note, the chainsaw art demos just across the parking lot open at 8 am and you can hear them very well 🤣
