Need a garbage bin at end of Smoke loop . With new traffic routing little cumbersome to take garbage to existing bins

The campsite was awesome but we got additional charges over the reservation. When we booked the reservation nowhere did it say there was going to be additional fees for another car. It asked how many cars I put into and then got there and had to pay more for the second vehicle because they count camper as a vehicle. I feel it’s deceptive and they are pocketing the additional $5 a day up charge. Camping is expensive enough as it is. I had two spots so we ended up paying quite a bit more.

The change over from FF to reservation, was smooth and orderly. The new Concessioners are polite and professional. They care about the campgrounds and the campers.

Services are scaled back and infrastructure upkeep is falling behind. It's a shame policy makers are not properly funding our public recreational facilities.

I love camping a Sheridan Lake as far back as a little child. Lots of great times & memories. Now I’m 54 & able to have my daughter & grandchild experience those same experiences.
The biggest downfall to the campgrounds is the lack of cellular service. I have upgraded to my camper but it’s still not enough. A lot of people camping there still have to be able to keep in touch with family & have to take time every day to still run business as usual as like myself. Weather awareness is on top of that list as well as is wildfire awareness. If something was to happen. Having immediate contact to emergency services & weather updates would be extremely helpful and important. There has to be wifi service for camp goers plain & simply this day & age.

From Rapid City, take Highway 16 for 18 miles west to Three Forks. Turn right (north) on Highway 385 and travel 2 miles to Calument Road at the inlet. Turn right and travel 1 mile to the campground.
Sheridan Lake is accessible via Highway 16, which connects to Rapid City, and Highway 385, which provides access from Highway 16 to the campground.
Elevation: 1414 feet
8 mi drive to downtown Hill City (about 14 min)

- These campsites are non-electric sites. Generators may run only.
- Non-reservable sites may be available on a first come, first served basis
- Prevent the spread of invasive species by inspecting and cleaning packs, equipment, and tires before using lake or trails
- A pet fee of $2 per pet per night is required upon check-in

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- The Senior and Access discounts are only honored for the site that houses the card holder. If multiple sites are reserved on one card, the rest of the camping fee will be collected upon arrival unless another card holder occupies the site.
