Guests enjoy excellent stargazing opportunities and convenient access to trails and facilities. However, some reviews mention outdated showers and occasional cleanliness issues in the bathrooms, as well as a lack of shade and privacy between sites. Overall, visitors appreciate the campground's charm and its proximity to the park's attractions.

The only thing I didn't like about the campground was if you're parked on the left side of the road the stairs for your camper go into the middle of the road.

Good site with plenty of room. We love the idea that there are no campfires. It is nice to smell the fresh South Dakota sage sented air. We wish more parks would embrace the concept of smoke free camping!

Most sites are drive through, and this is really more of a big parking lot ride off the main drag. That's not a complaint, but just best to keep in mind that this is the big rig camping ground in the national park. For a more backcountry experience, you could go and try to snag a spot on "The Wall" boondocking grounds right of Hwy 240 going to Wall North of the park.
