The campground is basic. It’s in the middle of the park and feels smack dab in the middle of no where. There are no trees so you see all your neighbors. The sites are somewhat spaced in that you are not right next to someone but you’ve got neighbors in front and behind you. All of this is fine and within expectations. Water, electric and dump are all available and convenient. The biggest complaint I have is the pay showers that do not have hot water. Seems to be hit or miss because the men in our group were able to take hot showers but the women’s bathroom water was freezing.

Great campsite for a couple days in Badlands NP. Close by the amphitheatre so we were easily able to enjoy an informative ranger talk. We appreciated the awning over the table at the campsite. Bathrooms were relatively tidy. Showers tended to be busy, especially later in the day, but nice option to have!

We were happy with the ability to stay inside the park. The campground had many sites, we did reserve it about two weeks out, and it appeared full that night. We tent camped and did not experience noise. The ladies shower was extra cold, the mens was extra warm, we would have preferred these reversed. The showers and bath rooms were moderately clean.

Campsites very close together and campers were very noisy throughout the night for tent camping.

Views from the campground are beautiful and the location is perfect for getting an early start to the trails and avoiding crowds. The bathrooms leave a lot to be desired unfortunately. During our stay the coin operated showers were not operating properly and on our last day even the toilets were having challenges. If these items can be repaired I would give this campground 5 stars.
