We love this campsite! Came twice in one summer with our two dogs. We did get hit by a storm the first time and we camped inside our SUV. We saw other tents get blown away and a couple of things we left out when the storm started had to be recovered from many feet away in the morning. Despite that, it was a wonderful time and stunning views inside the Badlands.

While it was difficult to book 2 nights in a row, I did get 2 nights with separate sites. It was my first time visiting the park and the sights were great,

Very open, no trees or barriers between sites, but if that is what you expect, it is a great place to camp to explore the badlands. Beware. it can get really windy!

The stay was great, except for the 50+ mph windstorm we had one night, my wife didn't get a good night's sleep! other than that the grounds were well kept

Was a bit thrown off by the eyebrow sites being part of the road. Glad we found and reserved a site that would fit our unit prior to arrival as the campground filled up even with as late season as it was. Think a lot of that was due to the shutdown and park fees to pay. Beautiful views of the Badlands. Bathhouse very clean. Did not use the pay showers and was glad there was a dump station available.

We loved the chance to camp in a national park and use our senior passes and have electricity. We also appreciated the showers available. The only thing is the showers did not have hot water...cool at best. Not sure if we hit the showers at the wrong time, or if the hot water was an issue.

Great backdrop of the Badlands, easy stroll to the lodge/restaurant and visitors center (VC unfortunately not open due to shutdown). Flush toilets as well as shower facilities on one of the campground loops. Campground host helped us figure out how to pay, as Recreation.gov was still working to put reservations in (other National Parks Campgrounds relying on self pay boxes). Make sure to hang out and watch the sunset/sunrise play out against the formations, and see the colors change.

Great site right in the Badlands. Quiet at night. Dark skies so the stars were brilliant!
