I had a great experience at this campground. I spent 4 nights tent camping with my 2 teenage children. Our campground spot was absolutely beautiful... grassy area under a tree with a picnic table and a firepit with a stream nearby that added to the atmosphere.
All we were really looking for was a nice campground providing flush restrooms and showers and nice place to set up the tent and spend a few evenings after sightseeing, and it was just perfect!
The night before we were at a state campground with less amenities for the same price... I will definitely book here again if I go to the black hills.

The place is beautiful and good location for local attractions. Ive been going here for over a decade. Has always been friendly and rustic but very comfortable. The new owners seemed nice when I met them a few years ago. I went there this summer, completely excited. Got in after dark and normally the place is kinda lively and nice people around. It was a ghost town. Was that way every evening. Had a few interactions with the new owner over the few days and I felt like I was a huge burden. I'd say this is a good place to stop and camp but not to stay or relax. We went for a hike and came back and took a nap. Wasn't dark and I tried to contact them to get firewood. The food we brought was to be cook over our fire. Got no wood, sat in the dark without our dinner. We left early the next day to find a new place. Sadly, I don't believe I'll ever stay there again.

Spent the night here when I was visiting the area. The staff made check in very easy and were very helpful. The location is extremely peaceful and great for kicking off exploring the black hills the next day. Highly recommend.

Great campsite! Monica was super helpful when I arrived, giving me a map with all the best roads marked to ride a motorcycle on, the best path to Mt Rushmore and details around an evening lighting show, plus some recommendations of where to grab food.
The facilities were very clean and had hot water.
Would definitely stay here if I’m ever in the area again.

Electric only sites, but fresh water fill and dump station are conveniently located. Beautiful campground well worth the drive. Camp hosts were extremely accommodating and so nice. Burgers and beer at a very reasonable price at the outdoor café was great. We'll stay here again.
