I would avoid making reservations at this campground. I made reservations earlier in the year and submitted payment in full. Like everybody else in the country from time to time, I had to cancel those reservations. Instead of retaining a fee for processing, they kept the entire amount. Traveler beware

Got there just before 3pm. No one in office, sidn saying they would be back at 2:30...no one. Our instructions were there. No cable. Had wifi but no password on paperwork. Finally called office, no answer, left message asking for password. No one ever called back. Stayed for two nights. Saw one employee the next day handing out flyers for Friday special event, asked her for the password...had to chase her down. Site was littered with garbage. Not maintained. Sewer connection was busted. Making it difficult to use and gross. Boards sticking up and uneven. Back in RIGHT next to the highway, couldn't have windows open because then you couldn't hear anything. Tons of open spots not right next to the Hwy. Btw, you can get over the air stations. The site was wide and open, which was nice, but a real mess. Was an easy in and out. However we will not be going back.

I stayed at Tower Campground in Sioux Falls and honestly, it was exactly what I needed. It’s not one of those huge, overwhelming campgrounds, it feels comfortable and easygoing.

One of the best parts is the location. You’re super close to everything in Sioux Falls, restaurants, stores, and local spots, but once you’re back at your site, it feels calm and quiet. It’s really convenient if you don’t want to be completely out in the middle of nowhere but still want that camping vibe.

The campsites were clean and spacious, and everything felt well taken care of. If you have an RV, the hookups are simple and easy to use. If you’re tent camping, there’s still plenty of space to spread out and relax. The staff was friendly and helpful, which always makes a difference. Check-in was quick, and they made everything straightforward.

What I appreciated most was how peaceful it felt at night. It’s a nice place to unwind after a long drive or a busy day exploring. It felt safe, welcoming, and family-friendly without being loud or chaotic.

Overall, Tower Campground is a solid, dependable place to stay in Sioux Falls. I’d definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone passing through or spending a few days in the area.

Had everything we needed for a quick overnight stop. Also it was the only campground open with water and full hookups that had after hours check in this time of year (no one else returned our calls). After hours check-in pretty convenient. Maybe would have been more convenient if the map of campground was right next to available site list; we had to drive through to see where the sites were compared to bathroom location, then walk back to register. Not a huge deal, but when you’re tired at night, something small like a map that isn’t too high to read in the semi-dark is helpful. Safe park. Had to call for bathroom code, wrong code given so a nearby camper helped us out; bathrooms marginally clean, just so appreciative of being able to have a hot shower! Didn’t mind the road noise at all, we all slept great! Loved the convenience of hopping off and back on I-80 on our way to the Badlands.
Would stay again, for affordability, location, and necessary amenities. Thank you!

The office was closed when we arrived at 1pm on a Tuesday (lunch). There was a packet easily seen with our site number and we found it quickly. Here for 3 days for a concert. Level sites with full hookups. It's very noisy with the highway and airport nearby but we still got some good rest at night.
Park is clean with many seasonal sites which appear to be upkept well.
