Very nice campground. Did not go anywhere the week we were ther as we wanted just a relaxing week. Loved watching the geese and their babies. Got to see all the pelicans coming in . I have camped at Cottonwood since the late 1950's as a child with my parents. I remember when they built the South Loop.

Beautiful, quiet, peaceful campground. Nice large campsites so doesn't feel crowded even when busy. Restrooms and free showers keep very clean. Very well maintained campground with helpful and friendly volunteers and staff.

A very nice clean campground Camp host were very friendly, nice little pond with geese and pelicans. Also great place for children to fish. The meridian Bridge in Yankton is a nice little walk and you can lock your padlock on the bridge. Enjoyed the area.

Restrooms were very clean and cleaned two times daily. Area was mowed and after a storm with 89 mile per hour winds, the tree branches and limbs were collected the next morning. Prior to the storm, the park ranger and the campground host came around and warned us of the impending storms arrival and suggested that we use the bath house for security.
