An excellent stay! The park attendants were very friendly. The shower facilities were clean. A very nice park on the Cumberland river.

Tent camping on site 45. The nicest tent site we have ever camped on. Sits on a peninsula with the Cumberland River on one side and a small cove on the other. Great for fishing for those who can catch fish (no luck for me). Campground was well maintained, Bath and shower facilities were clean.
We would have given it 5 Stars had it not been for these god awful sounds outside of the tent waking us up at 2:00AM every morning (no fault of the campground). I asked the host Cheryl (great host) what made the sounds and she said it was frogs. I’ve been camping, fishing and frog gigging for over 50 years, and have never heard any frogs that sound like these.
All in all, it was a GREAT campground! In fact, we liked it so much we we booked it again in June and July. We’re hoping our new froggie friends that kept waking us up will be gone. If not, we’re bringing ear plugs!

Great place to camp! Always so much family fun and the kids love it. It was a bummer that only 1 shower worked in the women's bathroom which caused quite a wait.

Site was clean, hosts are very friendly, facilities also clean. Power was good despite being nearly full in record heat with ACs running nonstop.

Getting There
From Ashland City, Tennessee, take US 12 and go eight miles west to Cheap Hill. Turn
left on Cheatham Dam Road traveling west four miles. Turn left into
the campground.
Highway access
The campground is accessible via US Highway 12, located approximately eight miles east of the campground.

General
- Please be aware that falling branches are a natural hazard at this campground
- Motorized, including electric vehicles: Golf carts, Scooters & ATV’s are permitted on roadways in Corps operated recreation areas. However, these type of vehicles shall be operated in accordance with applicable Federal, state and local laws, which shall be regulated by authorized enforcement officials. Must be 16 years or older to drive motorized vehicle. Prohibited items include: battery operated scooters/cars, hover-boards, non compliant golf carts and ATV's.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- However, if you're arrving late, we highly recommend you call the campground to notify the Park Attendant. If arrival does not occur before check-out time on the day following the arrival date, the reservation will be canceled.
- Two tents or one tent and one RV are permitted per campsite.
- Lock A campground has reservable sites only. No walk-up sites.
