What Guests Are Saying
Chilhowee Campground is praised for its beautiful natural setting, well-maintained facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite for repeat visitors. The campground features clean bathrooms, spacious sites, and a lovely lake for swimming, along with access to hiking trails, including the popular Benton Falls. While the access road is narrow and winding, and some areas may appear dated, the overall experience is highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful camping getaway.

Enjoyed out visit to this campground and loved the hiking trails to Benton Falls. Our 5th Wheel at 36' was a bit of a tight fit on the road that leads to the campground, but it was manageable with beautiful overlooks to enjoy. The dump station area worked well despite the tight corners for a rig out size. My only suggestion would be to make sure that campers are made aware that there are potable water filling stations available at the entrances to the camping loops and that you don't have to use the one in the dump station circle (most RVers are hesitant about using potable water that is located so close to the dumping area). Definitely would like to visit this campground again and enjoy more of the numerous hiking trails.

It seems to be a very great warm weather camp ground! With swimming, hiking, and many nature sights to see. Only complaint i would have is it seemed very understaffed and the bathhouse was cleaned very much.

We loved staying at this campground. The sites are well spaced out and the campground is so pretty. There are plenty of trails to explore and we had a wonderful weekend. Would definitely highly recommend checking it out.

Beautiful drive up to the park. We camped in Loop A for three nights pretty much had the campground to ourselves. Not a lot of other mid-week campers this late in the year. Thoroughly enjoyed the trails around the lake and to Benton Falls. The facilities were fine. The campsites are large and spread out. The only downside is they don't have water but we filled our tank when we arrived at the campground and were fine. Will definitely be back.
