Very clean, very nice. The couple who host this camp site could not have been nicer to me and my family. They were very kind and helpful. The campground was clean and quiet.

We love it here! Come several times a year. We learned a valuable lesson this time. Buy several big fire extinguishers. Those little white ones do NOTHING and it takes emergency services a long time to get there. We tried everything we could to help a fellow camper put out a fire in his camper but ended up just watching it burn. Thank goodness everyone was safe!

Very nice small campground. About 15 sites, all with electric. Central water spigots were easily accessible. One small bathhouse with only one shower. Clean, but could have used a coat of paint. Lots of wildflowers, especially wild Iris, Solomon's seal, and Trilliums. Two pull through sites, all the rest were back in. Poison Ivy EVERYWHERE!

If Parksville had water hookups in each campsite, I would give it 5 stars. But, for a short stay of 3 or 4 nights, not having water hookups in each site is not much of an issue, if you have a fresh water tank and a pump in your rig! Parksville is beautiful! It's a smaller campground with maybe 20 campsites, and for us, that's a plus! We've camped there twice, and both times found the other campers to be very considerate, friendly, helpful, and quiet! Based on our two experiences, it seems that most folks are at retirement age roughly, so there have been few screaming kids or barking dogs! The kids we've encountered at Parksville have been considerate and well mannered. We have a 32' 5th wheel and its challenging but doable backing into the sites, and all but a couple are back ins. If you're experienced at backing, you can do it! The sites themselves are of a good size. I've seen a couple of larger motorhomes in them. Some sites are a bit close together for our liking, but they're laid out so that you still have some privacy. Others sites are spaced well apart with lots of trees between you. And, if you get one of the sites beside the beautiful creek that runs through Parksville, you'll love sleeping with your windows open as the creek sings you to sleep. And, if you are able to hike about a 4 mile round trip over fairly easy terrain, you MUST see Benton Falls! Oh, and you're maybe a mile from the boat ramp into Parksville Lake, and I did see one site in the campground with a boat parked in it as well as their pull behind and their pickup truck. Overall, Parksville is our favorite place to camp, but you'll have to book your reservation well ahead because it's a favorite of many other nature lovers who have discovered it too!

We absolutely love this campground. There seems to be a big difference in reviews between the RV side and the tent side. We are on the RV side. It’s the perfect size where the kids can ride their bikes around the circle but they are never too far away. I’ve never had issues with noise or rowdy groups. It’s also just a short drive from another nearby park with a lake/beach and trails. Cell service is essentially Verizon only and even then it can be spotty so don’t plan to have meetings over the phone. There is no water at the sites but there are 3 or so fill stations around the park where you can fill up on arrival if needed.

Very nice campground! We loved the creek rushing by our campsite. Only criticism would be I think it's time to update the showers so that they run for more than 10 seconds when you push the button. Get real!
