This park is by far our most favorite campground, the green areas are always manicured, bathroom/shower houses always clean and hosts always helpful! Only suggestion I have is maybe another WiFi station put up due to poor cell service in area.

It's a beautiful park. There seems to be a lot of resources dedicated to it, compared to some other ACOE camps. The sites are well spaced, and it was a quiet park, even during the Fall Breaks that had many kids in the camp with their families. We especially appreciated that dog barking was not a problem: the few times we heard one bark, it was shushed quickly, and we never saw one unleashed. Security was prioritized in that there is a gate code that one must know in order to get into the camp after dark, when the station house is closed. Cell service is poor and the Wi-Fi at the restrooms didn't work well, either. The best cell service we got was at a little pizza restaurant in the park, outside of the camping area. They have public Wi-Fi.
The one complaint we had: on our last night there, a big wrecker showed up two sites down, hauling in a big flatbed truck on i's own bed, and proceeded to unload it...at 11:15 at night! It was very intrusive and noisy. We felt sorry for the folks right across from this site, because the wrecker's lights were pointed straight at their encampment mostly. The wrecker came within a couple of feet from the bumper of their vehicle. We asked the man what was going on, and he had some story about having purchased that vehicle that day and that his insurance wouldn't allow it to be dropped off at the station house. This means that he either gave the wrecker the gate code, or met him at the gate to let him in. Why this couldn't have been done in the daytime, we have no idea. Hope someone takes a look at this; we did call the number offered for help, and of course, no one answered it at that hour. We could only leave a message, and we wondered what would happen if a real emergency occurred and someone called that number for help. Cell service is spotty in this park, and we were surprised that we actually got a call out, so relying on "Call 911 for emergencies" isn't a good policy in this park

The facilities are well maintained by a very friendly staff. Access to the sites is spacious and thus very straightforward.
