About Defeated Creek Park

Defeated Creek Park Campground sits along the banks of Cordell Hull Lake on the Cumberland River System, just seven miles from Carthage, Tennessee. The lake was named after Cordell Hull, a politician that was born in the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains. We camp here several times a year. Always a great experience. Cell service is almost nonexistent in this area and WiFi was going on and off the whole time. Really need to upgrade WiFi.

We love Defeated Creek. It's a great campground and well groomed. I would have given it 5 stars but our water heater broke and we had to use the bathhouse. It was clean, but the water was not quite lukewarm and it was spring, not hot enough for a cold shower. We still had a good trip.

Enjoy camping there and making new friends.
The site we where at 98. We worry about the tree that was hanging over are camper. Can see where parts of it has broken off and looks like it half dead. About ready to fall.
It needs to be removed before it could crush a camper or kill someone.
