About Defeated Creek Park

Defeated Creek Park Campground sits along the banks of Cordell Hull Lake on the Cumberland River System, just seven miles from Carthage, Tennessee. The lake was named after Cordell Hull, a politician that was born in the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains. Had a great time only thing that i think would have made it better the night they had the trick or treating they would have shut the gate to stop people from driving through I bet there where over a hundred cars and trucks coming through while the kids where walking around trick or treating it would have been safer for them thanks just my opinion

The recycle locations are always full . I always bring recycle out with me to an alternate recycle location.

We love Defeated Creek! We go here often and this was our last trip of the year! There seems to be a few things that could be kept up better like, painting of the site numbers, the site poles put in place, more gravel in some sites because some are just dirt, replacing of the fire pits because they are rusted to quiet nothing and the bathhouses need a good cleaning. But nothing a little hard work couldn't fix. Definitely doesn't keep us from coming but would love to see it improved!
