When we arrived about 2:30 p.m. nobody was in the shack for checkin. Had to do alot of driving around to find our campsite. Wasn't too happy about that. I went back up to shack about an hour later and no one was there then either. Seemed like poor business. The restroom closest to us was in poor condition. Restrooms smelled even though the ladies bathroom door was open all the time, felt very old and nasty. A toilet in the men's restroom was clogged up for days - the girl who came to clean the restrooms left it that way.

Beautiful setting. Very clean grounds and restrooms. But some of the fishing docks need repairing. Very little river access for fishing. Otherwise, a nice place to camp.

We’ve stayed at several COE campgrounds over the years and the hosts at this one are the best. Not only are they kind but they happily answer questions and provide useful information.

Very clean campground. Bath facilities could have been a little cleaner but not too bad. Only thing is there needs to be a better system for use of the dump station, vehicles lined up to use them blocked anyone else from exiting the campground. Very frustrating.

This campground is one of our favorites in Middle TN. It is clean, friendly and not too far from home. We always make new friends and meet old friends from the years of camping here.
They have finally gotten some WiFi available, but it doesn’t reach the whole campground…yet. But it is better than when we used to have to go up to the Dam to get cell service.
Parts of it are beginning to look a little run-down though - especially the bridge that crosses the waterway coming out of the fish hatchery. It would be really nice to see that upgraded.
One other complaint that I have is that they are spraying a dangerous herbicide (generic Round-Up/glyphosate) on ALL the campsites after a camper vacates the site. This poison is KNOWN FOR CAUSING CANCER and I strongly object to it being used on the ground that my dog walks over and lays on and chews on his toys that have been on the ground. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP USING THIS DEADLY CHEMICAL IN OUR CAMPGROUND.
