Cosby Campground is praised for its beautiful natural surroundings, clean facilities, and helpful staff, making it a favorite for many campers. The campground offers well-marked trails and peaceful camping experiences, although some visitors noted the lack of phone signal and absence of showers. While certain loops are closed, campers appreciate the spacious sites and overall maintenance of the grounds, often returning for the serene atmosphere and hiking opportunities.

Surrounded by trees, it is a very pleasant place. The toilet was also properly cleaned and there was nothing unpleasant.

I had not been to Cosby in a couple of decades, but it was pretty much as I remembered with some updates, of course. The campsites are still nicely spaced, the tent pads are excellent and offer a lot of space. Bathrooms are good, although some of the campers were messy (one even left the water running). We chose it for this trip because our father-daughters group would hike the Mt. Cammerer trail that we accessed a mere 0.2 mi from our campsite. Reservations/checkin worked well, bathrooms and trash cans conveniently placed...it was all good. Consider putting in some showers and it would be perfect.
