We had a reservation 7-9 and arrived and set up our picnic for our yearly family reunion then was told the pavilion was closed due to copperheads seen earlier in the week on the steps down to the pavilion. We were not warned about snakes nor were we told the pavilion was closed. We should have been told before we came there. The snakes should have been taken care of immediately before any person was put in danger. We should get our $25 refunded

Only complaint is that the people that reserved the pavilion before us, left chicken bones thrown in the shrubs. We were having my having my mother's memorial there and we did bring dogs. One dog unfortunately got a chicken bone. He is OK but we all know how bad chicken bones can be, too all animals, not only dogs.

There was a water main break and the outdoor spigot was not available, but other the park gave ample warning with email as soon as it happened. The pavilion was clean and close to bear dumpsters, and the tables were easy to access. We also used the grills that are there. They worked wonderfully and we are very thankful to have this space every year for our annual celebration.
