What Guests Are Saying
Cosby Campground is praised for its beautiful natural surroundings, clean facilities, and helpful staff, making it a favorite for many campers. The campground offers well-marked trails and peaceful camping experiences, although some visitors noted the lack of phone signal and absence of showers. While certain loops are closed, campers appreciate the spacious sites and overall maintenance of the grounds, often returning for the serene atmosphere and hiking opportunities.

Quiet hours not enforced on second night of the trip. Loud party goers partying well past midnight keeping up the entire campground. The first night it was enforced but the second night it was not.

We're tent campers and this was our eighth stay at the Cosby Campground. Until this year, we've always set up on the same campsite on B loop which was less crowded and further away from noisy group facilities. This year, because of staffing shortages, B loop was closed. It wasn't the same experience and we left early. In the past, we've always depended on the surrounding community for eating some meals and other services, but the Covid and hurricane episodes have impacted the area in a negative manner. Without changes, we will probably look for a new location for our annual fall adventure.

Nice area of the Smokies. Quiet more, laid back, fewer crowds, nice number of hikes within a smaller area.

The campground was wonderful! We have come the past 3 years and love it! Well maintained, clean bathrooms and close to great hiking trails. I do wish it was open a little longer into November since the leaves are still in peak season. It was still beautiful but the campground shuts down after October 26th. We had a great stay and enjoyed our time at Cosby Campground! We will definitely be back next year!
