What Guests Are Saying
Cosby Campground is praised for its beautiful natural surroundings, clean facilities, and helpful staff, making it a favorite for many campers. The campground offers well-marked trails and peaceful camping experiences, although some visitors noted the lack of phone signal and absence of showers. While certain loops are closed, campers appreciate the spacious sites and overall maintenance of the grounds, often returning for the serene atmosphere and hiking opportunities.

Very quiet campground away from the crowds in other parts of the Park. A lot of the sites were spacious and the restrooms were very clean.

Lovely campground -- on a wooded slope and each site was carefully made level. Bathrooms were clean tho no showers. This would be a perfect campground except it is far from many of the favorite areas to visit in Great Smoky Mountains Park.

We made a reservation for the site, but we couldn't stay because others kept setting up tents. The money was refunded, but we were disappointed.

Cosby is a beautiful, welcome-maintained campground. Camping in April, we didn't realize the full season had not started. When we arrived after 6:00pm and read that if we didn't register by noon the next day our site may be given away, it caused some anxiety when the office did not open the next day. A sign somewhere about that would be good. We really liked the outside sink at the bathrooms, but we could not have a campfire at our site A59, because the neighbors' tent pad was was 2 ft away. The path along the creek from the picnic area is a gem. Thank you.

For visiting during the off-season in April I wasn’t expecting it to be so popular. Most people were quiet but there isn’t much privacy between sites. Only a handful of RV sites in loop A so hope you don’t get next to the generator happy RV campers like we did. Bathrooms are nice and cleaned daily. Showers, ice, and wood can be found at a little store up the road.

The camp site was very nice. Unfortunately, the weather and our neighbors were much less nice. High winds and the college kids in the site next to ours seemed to think that yelling was the only appropriate way to communicate with someone less than 10 ft in front of them. We used our time to scout around and found a site that was a little more private. We’ll definitely be back.
