Our site was a shaded wooded area. Very nice and quiet. Enjoyed our stay. The only down fall was we had no cell service but with a short wk we were able to have service.

Salt Lick Creek campground offers a peaceful and beautiful setting with spacious, well-maintained sites and friendly staff, making it a favorite for many campers. The clean facilities, abundant wildlife, and serene waterfront views enhance the overall experience, perfect for those looking to disconnect. While some reviewers noted issues with shower house cleanliness and limited cell service, the positive aspects, including safety and tranquility, consistently shine through.

Beautiful quiet campground. There is a lot of interesting water for kayaking, not too small and not too big. Very little boat traffic.

Always enjoy Salt Lick. The. Only thing that would make it an excellent stay is the availability of cell service. Not that we don’t want to get away from the phone, but would really like to have them for emergencies at home, and for weather situations, such as approaching storms.

It was very nice, a great location, the 1 BIG problem is that there is ABSOLUTELY no cell reception. There was no way of contacting someone in case of emergency. There was no attendant most of the time. At one point we as well as everyone near us lost power (it was 80+ degrees outside), lucky for all of us, the landscapers showed up to work and they were able to contact someone to fix the power.
It is very scary to think what would happen in case of a real emergency: medical condition, accident, swimming accident, drowning, someone missing in the park, A fire, or any other emergency you can think of.
