Salt Lick Creek campground offers a peaceful and beautiful setting with spacious, well-maintained sites and friendly staff, making it a favorite for many campers. The clean facilities, abundant wildlife, and serene waterfront views enhance the overall experience, perfect for those looking to disconnect. While some reviewers noted issues with shower house cleanliness and limited cell service, the positive aspects, including safety and tranquility, consistently shine through.

We have camped at Salt Lick 3 times this year. Campsite 90 was our favorite. Many of the sites need some extra gravel as when it rains it gets quite muddy. The picnic tables need some replacing or at least sanded some. The gate keepers were the best. They had anything we needed that we failed to bring. He had some hand tools and of course a roll of duct tape. Grounds are well maintained as well as the bathrooms and bath houses. Is there a reason there are no hooks to hang your clothes on? We are looking for somewhere else to go before they close for the season. Wish Salt lick stayed open through October and November before closing. we would stay at least 3 to 5 more week ends and at least a week.

We were very impressed by this campground. The sites are large and well spaced, many with water views. The bathrooms snd showers were immaculate. It’s perfect if you fish, with easy access at the boat ramp or from your site. The only negative for us was that there was really no place to bike other than within this small park. Once outside the entrance gate, the roads are narrow and winding with too many blind spots to risk riding a bike. So our activities were very limited. But still, a beautiful campground that we would recommend.
