One of my favorite campgrounds. Love this place. Here are a few things to help you plan your visit....
Gated entry so it's nice knowing riff raff is t hanging out. Gate staff was friendly, bring them a treat, they are stuck in that booth all day.
Tent sites are huge and so nice. Clean and spacious. Water and electric hookups. So e sites are right in the water!!
No cell service at this park so be prepared for that. They do have wifi around the boat dock so that will help get your fix if needed.
Bathhouses are nice. Bring an over the door hook for your clothing. The showers are kind of a wreck. Nowhere to put your belongings and the water sprays everywhere and all over the floor. But hey, I am blessed to get a hot shower while camping.
Fishing, swimming, basketball, volleyball and hanging out are all available.
If you need to go shopping the closest store is Dollar General in Gainsboro (about 20 minutes away)
Again, love this place and we will be back!!!!

Rain squashed most of our outdoor plans. The campground is well kept and all the spots seemed nice and wide. Early mornings on the lake were so nice. Park host was so sweet

Was at this campground memorial day weekend. We were on site 98. The picnic table was on a sloop, to the point you could not even sit anything on it with out if rolling off. There was plenty of level land to put it on. The bath house you could not even lock the door and there was not bench, no hooks or anything for when you shower. You have to put your things in the floor and then they get wet. They need something for people showering. We want go back to salt lick campground

It rained during most of our stay but we were still able to enjoy kayaking in the mornings. Our camp site was very clean and level. Easy to launch the kayaks right at our site. We got there pretty late and had no issue using the code to get into the gate. The camp host visited us the next day to make sure everything was good and give us our car pass. We will definitely be back!

This was our first time stay and we love it! It’s beautiful, peaceful, and family friendly! Lots of room on your sites, amazing views, sandy beach area with roped off swimming area, nice playground for the kiddos, staff are super friendly! We will got sure be coming back, I highly recommend! Also, not sure if it was just luck that we come on a weekend they had planned a carnival or if it is something they do, maybe they do different events, but that was also fun for the kids!
