Salt Lick Creek campground offers a peaceful and beautiful setting with spacious, well-maintained sites and friendly staff, making it a favorite for many campers. The clean facilities, abundant wildlife, and serene waterfront views enhance the overall experience, perfect for those looking to disconnect. While some reviewers noted issues with shower house cleanliness and limited cell service, the positive aspects, including safety and tranquility, consistently shine through.

Beautiful camp grounds.
The bathrooms didn't get much attention until it was time for the weekend campers , which is a shame because we like to camp during the week days also.
The construction going on is a little loud.
Would suggest selling ice at the check in station.

If you're camping with kids, this is the perfect site. The playground and beach are just a short walk away, but they're far enough from the campsite that you don't have to deal with a lot of noise.
The only tricky part was backing in our trailer. The back of the site is at a bit of an odd angle, so it took us a minute to figure out the best approach. We ended up lining up with the side of the site and backing into the angle, which worked well.
The only reason we're giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is that there was absolutely no cell service or over-the-air TV reception. That might be a bonus if you're looking to completely unplug, but it's worth knowing before you go.

This is a good place to camp. A place to get away. The lake is nice to take advantage of. A lot of the sites are shaded.

This is a beautiful campground. It was quiet even with other campers there. Absolutely NO phone signal but that was not too big of a deal because they did have a couple of wifi hotspots where you could make wifi calls if necessary. My only complaint would be that the shower houses need some work. The showers themselves worked but the bench that one might sit on or put your clothes and toiletries on were missing even though they were built into the structure at some point. Neither were there enough hooks to hang things on (only one). Anything you tried to sit on the floor got soaked even outside the actual shower area. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves and would return again.
