Excellent venue for our small Smoky Mtn wedding! Cabin was clean and in great condition. Park Rangers and staff were kind and courteous. Of note, they have stopped reserving the rectangular gravel parking area by the road for Spence Cabin parking. Plan to have all of your guests park on the gravel driveway leading up to the cabin if you are there on a busy day. Price was very reasonable and they refunded the deposit quickly.

We rented Spence Cabin for a gender reveal celebration in September. We had plenty of room in the main room and patio for about 30 family/friends to gather for lunch and then did the actual reveal by the river on the stone patio! There is a microwave, but it’s kind of small so if you’re heating lots of food to put in a crockpot (we did BBQ) be prepared for it to take a while. We chose to do a cake dyed on the inside because you cannot have confetti or confetti like substances in the park. We had a fabulous day overall!

It was my wedding day there and the location was so beautiful and peaceful. The patio was so appropriate with the River in the beautiful mountains was incredible. The pink cabin I fell in love with!

This was a perfect location for our wedding. We loved the venue and everything was as described online. The rangers come before and after to go over everything with you and to inform you on what you need to do, along with what you can and cannot do. My only advice would be to call ahead of time to figure out how to access the cabin the day of. There was no correspondence on that so I had to call several different numbers to figure out how to gain access to the cabin the day of the event. Also, the rangers will tell you on the day of your event that they will handle the deposit, which was not the case in my situation. I waited several months for my deposit and had to call and leave several messages. I finally spoke to someone in the office and they had not started my refund for my deposit because they weren't notified. After speaking to that person, it was only a matter of days that the refund was on my credit card. The lady I spoke to was friendly and took care of the refund promptly. Again, just sharing my experiences that others may find helpful. In all I couldn't have asked for a better venue for our day.

I am always impressed with our park systems facilities, personnel and public support. I just wish they got more respect and support from our goverment officals.
