About Paint Creek Campground

A majority of the widely-spaced campsites have streamside views and are screened by a variety of native plants, including rhododendron, hemlock and laurel. Be Bear Wise: Food storage compliance is strictly enforced. Store all food and trash in hard-sided containers and vehicles while not in use. Never have attractants in your tent. Violations of the food storage order are ticketable offenses and subject to fines. Food and trash left unattended will be impounded by campground staff.

The campground is wonderful. We reserved for may the 4th which was the first day they opened for our 13th anniversary. Camp host was wonderful, but we missed our regular host that has been there for every stay we had. The weather was perfect our first 2 days then terrible storms moved in and got very cold lol. Thats to be expected when you camp. It was very quiet and comfortable here and we plan to return very soon. Very clean and great neighboring guests with us.

Good quite place to camp. Only problem was the gate was closed at a time different than listed on the signage. The signage said gate closed from 10pm to 6am but the ranger told us it was to be closed 8:30pm to 7:00am. I don't know if that is what happened but the sign needs to reflect the correct closing and opening times.

Owners of yelping dogs should receive a warning about their dogs continues parking. At camp site 3 the campers had a small dog that parked constantly. They would leave it outside by itself and the dog would bark until they came out to get it. Even when they took it for a walk the dog would bark. At a point peace and quiet is no more and the the owners of the dog should have been asked to leave.

It was great, so peaceful. I drove by it for years going up the mountain to take Star pictures. I’m planning on reserving again soon. Kid friendly!

Paint Creek campground is the best campground ever, it's very peaceful and quite. It is family oriented, no alcoholic beverages allowed there is a camp host on sight and that's a big plus for me. It is well maintained, the water at the park is also chlorinated and checked on a daily basis, it's paved all around the loop. The bathrooms could use a little updating but are kept clean. No complaints here
