Great little campground, especially for the price! Water but no electrical hook-ups. Vault toilets and no showers so plan accordingly. Very beautiful little 1 mile campground loop trail must be spectacular when rhododendrons are in bloom. Fall colors were at peak and the road following Paint Creek to the French Broad is filled with great fishing holes. All around a wonderful place.

We really enjoyed this campsite. The area was remote, but pretty. Our host was friendly.

Loved it. We were on the upper end and were the only ones in that section. Only complaint we had was a barking dog. It barked all day and night. Luckily we could barely hear it since it was in the lower section. I could not imagine being in that area listening to it 24 hours a day.

The campground is beautiful and clean. The vault toilets needed treatment, the smell was nausea inducing and carried into campsites.
I would stay again.

Paint Creek campground is the best campground ever, it's very peaceful and quite. It is family oriented, no alcoholic beverages allowed there is a camp host on sight and that's a big plus for me. It is well maintained, the water at the park is also chlorinated and checked on a daily basis, it's paved all around the loop. The bathrooms could use a little updating but are kept clean. No complaints here

It was great, so peaceful. I drove by it for years going up the mountain to take Star pictures. I’m planning on reserving again soon. Kid friendly!

Owners of yelping dogs should receive a warning about their dogs continues parking. At camp site 3 the campers had a small dog that parked constantly. They would leave it outside by itself and the dog would bark until they came out to get it. Even when they took it for a walk the dog would bark. At a point peace and quiet is no more and the the owners of the dog should have been asked to leave.
