What Guests Are Saying
Rock Creek Recreation Area is highly praised for its peaceful and spacious campsites, excellent amenities like electricity, and access to beautiful hiking and biking trails. Many visitors enjoyed the clean facilities, friendly campground hosts, and the scenic wooded surroundings. While some noted minor issues such as limited water flow at spigots and lack of phone service, these were overshadowed by the overall positive experiences and the intention to return.

We really liked this campground, first time for us and we hope to get back. No park staff due to the shutdown but didn't detract from our experience.

My husband, 2 dogs, and I stayed for a night just to get a final camping trip in for the year and I was lovely. Very simple but with access to some hiking/biking trails. The sites are nicely spaced out with plenty of views for the woods for most of not all sites. We did have a spigot right near us but keep in mind it’s more of a trickle of water versus steady flow. So if you anticipate needing to use a bunch of water, consider bringing your own so you aren’t standing at the spigot for a while. We will definitely be making future trips to Rock Creek. For sure in the hotter months so we can take a dip in their creek fed natural pool!
