What Guests Are Saying
Rock Creek Recreation Area is highly praised for its peaceful and spacious campsites, excellent amenities like electricity, and access to beautiful hiking and biking trails. Many visitors enjoyed the clean facilities, friendly campground hosts, and the scenic wooded surroundings. While some noted minor issues such as limited water flow at spigots and lack of phone service, these were overshadowed by the overall positive experiences and the intention to return.

Nice campground, good hiking. Bathrooms are usually very nasty. Host never speaks or does check runs.

The sites were stone and very big but that's the end of it. The site was dirty and the fire ring hadn't been cleaned out in a long time, it was full of ashes. In fact, we had to clean garbage out of it before we could light a fire. We never saw a camp host. Or rather we only saw his back and the back of his cart. He might go by in the morning or the evening but never stopped or even waved. The whole park is in disrepair. It's embarrassing for a National Park!
