What Guests Are Saying
Rock Creek Recreation Area is highly praised for its peaceful and spacious campsites, excellent amenities like electricity, and access to beautiful hiking and biking trails. Many visitors enjoyed the clean facilities, friendly campground hosts, and the scenic wooded surroundings. While some noted minor issues such as limited water flow at spigots and lack of phone service, these were overshadowed by the overall positive experiences and the intention to return.

There’s no other place that even comes close to Rock Creek camping. Private, quiet, well kept and I especially love the fact that I can make reservations and plan to take time off from work knowing I’m going to have a campsite.

The facility is well maintained, although the bathrooms are standard issue Forest Service with some maintenance problems. Campsites are level, well-spaced and well maintained with heavy forest and privacy. No water at each site but spigots are easily accessed. I ran my hose across the street to fill my tank. Rock Creek Falls is a great hike and spectacular destination. The AT, along with Beauty Spot is just a short drive away.

Had an Awesome time, Nice campground, good facilities, very helpful host and rangers/maintenance workers. Like most parks a little updating and expanding the bathrooms would be nice, but overall it was a great time.
