I arrived at 12:15 PM with a confirmed reservation and was told by the attendant check-in was at 3:00 PM. He directed me to a grocery store parking area 5-6 mi away through residential areas to wait. I explained that I knew the check-in and check-out time, but I had tickets for an event in the Northern section of Nashville. With the road construction and traffic in the area I could possibly be late for the event if I waited until 3:00 PM. I am 85 years old and I had just driven from Illinois towing a travel trailer. I asked if there was a place in the park where I could park and wait. He again said I had to go to the grocery store parking lot, but he might be able to check me in at 1:30. I returned at 1:30 PM and was checked-in. I noticed after entering the park there were many open sites and a large parking lot at the swimming area where if I could have easily parked. I was greatly disappointed in the lack of compassion by the attendant. I have stayed at many COE campgrounds and never encountered an attendant with the such arrogance and follow-the-rule attitude. This place is phenomenal. I highly recommend. Sites are spread out and SPOTLESS. We were pleasantly greeted by a great couple. The lake is beautiful and there are no lights from housed or buildings across the lake since it's property by The Corp of Engineers. Great job you guys.

Getting There
From downtown Nashville, TN, take I-40 east for 7 mi and to exit 221B. Turn right onto Old Hickory Boulevard, then left on Bell Road, right on New Hope Road and left on Stewarts Ferry Pike. Follow the signs to the campground.

Seven Points campground is accessible via I-40, approximately 7 miles from downtown Nashville. The campground can be reached by taking exit 221B and following local roads.
