It was beautiful camping right by the river. Site 14 didn’t have a ton of shade. The bathrooms were very nice and kept clean. The campsites were pretty close together. For some reason our site had a lot of bees. Someone had even left hornet spray. There is no firewood for sale at the campground, fyi

The camp host was RUDE and should never be in the position of representing Long Branch and The Core of Engineers. He was loud and obnoxious and demanded you know that he was in charge. I will never camp there again as long as that host is there.

Very clean. We had a riverside campsite, near the clean bath house. Bath house could use more light at night, shower curtains, and new shower nozzles. The shower stalls have a door for privacy, but the water splashes from the shower onto the floor in the small dressing area. That makes it pretty hard to get dressed without getting your pants wet.
Camp host and hostess were very friendly and nice. Check in was easy and quick.
Peaceful, quiet, relaxing campground. The river is pretty and it was fun watching people fishing and kayaking.

Camped in site 25 which is close to the bath house. The sewer line was broke and leaking out on the ground causing quite a smell. No one notified us of the problem. Hopefully it will be repaired soon.

This has become our favorite campsite. We keep our boat at edgar evins across the lake from long branch about a 5 minute drive. Kenneth and his wife are great hosts and always very nice and helpful. Love it!!

We need your help to maintain our campsites. Please dispose of all trash and litter along with extinguishing any fire and dispose of ashes in the fire ring upon departure.
