First impression of hostess, not good at all, can't type other description. 2nd taxes paid means, All money's pays for host/hostess salary as well as whole camp ground. 3rd, reservation of site called for 76ft, of which I only used about 40ft. Why would I tent camp on rocky pad vs soft grass. Hostess and host very rude in telling us tents go on rocky pad and to move them immediately. WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS CAMP GROUND!!!

We had a wonderful four night stay at the Long Branch campground. The campsites are shaded along the river and there is adequate space for outdoor activities such as picnicking, sitting by a campfire and watching for wildlife. We had no issues with hooking up our camper, the electrical and water connections were a breeze. We stayed at campsite #18 which was by the river and it came equipped with a picnic table, fire-pit, a wooden moveable two-shelf stand, a stationary wooden table/shelf with a roof, and a six foot lantern pole with two hooks. We used the two shelf stand for meal prepping next to our Blackstone griddle, the lantern pole was used to hang up our waders to dry, and the table/shelf with the roof is good to stage things such as food or to place a table top griddle. The only negative were the ants on and in the picnic table. The tables are older and weathered with deep grooves on the top boards so the ants were hard to get rid of. Not a huge deal, just a minor inconvenience that can be remedied with some bug spray.
If you like fishing/wading, there are steps down by site #25 to access the water and some pretty good fishing holes. My husband and I caught 6 trout in that area. You can only access these areas via the steps when they are not generating at the dam so pay close attention to the generation schedule.
The restrooms were clean and the showers were hot, no complaints there. Make sure you bring a flexible fitting/adaptor for the dump station. The one onsite is just a pipe in the ground with a hinged cover. This was our first trip in our camper and thankfully we had one that came with our Camco Rhino hose. Just something to think about if you are a newbie like us :)
I highly recommend this campground - very quiet and peaceful, spacious sites, beautiful old growth trees, easy access to the river, a fish cleaning station, clean facilities, and wildlife all around. If you can, get a site next to the river...it will not disappoint.

Beautiful park! Short drive into to Smithville or Cookeville. The early morning you can see the fog coming off the cool water of the Camry Fork.

One of the nicest COE we've camped....not as much privacy as some COEs but nicely spaced. The adjoining boat launch and playground would be a plus for many campers. The stream beside the campground was nice. We would definitely camp here again.

We were on our way through on our way home and I found Long Branch on the RV Parky App. Since we have the Access Pass, it was a no-brainer to pull in for a night. It is a hidden gem. If we were to stay longer, I would bring my kayak, but it was a quiet place to stay that was very enjoyable.

Really enjoyed the campground, it had clean bathhouses and plenty of room in sites. Nice playground and access to river for kayaking. Definitely will be going back.
